Imagined Spaces | Dreamed Spaces – Between Nature and Construction

(Staged Photographs, Video)

This artistic work combines analog photography with AI-generated video. It is based on two staged photographs that I took in the forest of the Luxembourgish Switzerland region. Nature and mystical symbols such as the egg, the bird, and the fog are the central motifs; they are ancient carriers of meaning within human cultural history. The video sequences repeatedly return to these photographs — and thus (symbolically) to the origin.

The visual transformations, image sequences, and atmospheric condensations were deliberately directed, further developed, and elaborately crafted by me through multiple stages. In this way, AI does not function as an autonomous producer of technical images, but rather as a tool within a controlled creative process. The result is a visual narrative situated between nature photography, digital art, and artificial intelligence.

Radical Harmony

(Macro Photography)

Is the focus on ‘beauty’ and ‘harmony’ – aspects that are inherent in nature – an idealisation of nature, a departure from reality, simply kitsch, or even superfluous in the face of pressing global problems?

Or is it about appreciating life, enjoying a brief moment of peace and accepting the transience of things, taking a break from the constant stream of (visual) horror stories that reach us every day through the media?

Darkness

(Night Photography)

Like flowers blooming in unexpected places, these branches reveal their transparency in the darkness of the night. The location of the event does not really matter; the splendour of darkness glows wherever nature occurs.
